About 30 percent of com-pany drivers spend four days or less at home, compared with 41 percent of owner-operators. Diesel's national average price fell for the first time in five weeks Nov. 9, dipping 0.7 cents, to $2.80 a gallon, according to the U.S. Department of Energy.
