At fi rst glance, the Anvil Motion kitchen in the com-pany's showroom in Brigham City, Utah, looks like a typical high-end traditional display space, replete with modern amenities and sophisticated style. But with the touch of a button on a wireless touch-screen remote (or a wave of the hand near the cabinet itself) the upper cabinets quietly come to life as segmented door panels simultaneously rise to reveal storage space and appli-ances. Additionally, the Anvil Motion system recognizes when a specifi c user walks into the kitchen, either au-tomatically using RFID recognition or by preset custom settings on the remote. By integrating with HVAC, light-ing and other electronic systems in the kitchen, Anvil Motion's central computer automatically adjusts every-thing to users' personal preferences.
