Imagery/LIDAR Special Issue DATA NAVTEQ introduced Intermediate Maps for Colombia and Peru as well as Motorway Junction Objects in North America, and enhanced its NAVTEQ Transport coverage to include the major highway network across Canada. Also, Point Address-ing and NAVTEQ Transport now are available for Oracle databases and applications. Ordnance Survey unveiled a 3-D map of the English seaside resort of Bournemouth captured using a combination of land-based laser scanning, including the StreetMapper 360 mobile mapping system, and aerial laser surveying. The People's Map added new Administrative, Postcode and Health Authority boundary layers to its data products. Tele Atlas unveiled maps for Brunei and the Philippines, and announced increased coverage across Indonesia, Malaysia and Thailand. SOFTWARE Adapx introduced Capturx for Share-Point Server, which helps enterprises and agencies automate paper-based data collection by digitizing data and integrating the information into Micro-soft SharePoint Server 2010. ALK Technologies Inc. updated its CoPilot Live iPhone GPS naviga-tion app. Applanix introduced RapidOrtho 2.0, a software enhancement for the Digital Sensor System that allows images to be developed and ortho-rectified as much as three times faster than the previous version. Avineon Inc. released Avineon-ics 2.0 emergency-management software that features pre-incident and preparedness functions such as training management and docu-mentation, emergency-roles man-agement, ICS team structures, and exercises and drills. Bentley Systems Inc. introduced ProjectWise Navigator V8i (SELECT-series 1) dynamic collaboration software for iterative project review. docSTAR and Fountains Spatial produced docSTAR MapConnect, a suite of GIS software tools. Freeance released Mobile Basic, which allows users to make one-click phone calls and e-mails from ArcGIS map features and database records. GeoDecisions introduced the latest version of IRRIS, offering improved reporting, analysis, visibil-ity and querying capabilities. GloPos introduced software-only positioning technology that makes all mobile phones location aware. Golden Software Inc. released Grapher 8, which adds the ability to apply transparency to fill colors, drawn items and graphs so users can view multiple datasets at once and customize graphs. ITT Corp. released ENVI EX, its image-processing and analysis soft-ware for image analysts and GIS professionals. James W. Sewall Co. launched ASG Pipeline Generation 3.0, which features a graphical interface for pipeline sheet layout and definition. Magellan Professional released Mobile Mapping 2.10 software for the MobileMapper 6 GIS/GPS hand-held receiver and data collector. Mayrise Systems released Map-Now, which enables users to locate assets and view detailed service information on Ordnance Survey maps or aerial photographs. McLeod Software integrated Rand McNally's IntelliRoute Dock-2Dock solution with its LoadMaster transportation-management system. Pitney Bowes Business Insight released MapInfo MapX-treme 7.0, a software development kit to develop map-centric and map-enabled applications for the desktop and Web. It also released GGP Systems launched GGP GIS 2009, which can read from and write into spatial databases including Microsoft's SQL Server 2008, Oracle 9i and 10g (Locator or Spatial), and Postgresql with PostGIS. It also launched GGP Routing for fire and rescue services, which is designed to reduce travel times and costs, and maximize the number of building inspections made by fire-safety inspectors.
