December 2009 CVSN iNSiDER 14 In Bridlewood Estates, where he had retired to, he became active in their organization. Joe had a passion for model trains, enjoyed trips to Bally's Casino, playing cards, attending auctions and expertly solving jigsaw puzzles. Joe is the beloved husband of the late Linda (nee Bouquillon); devoted father of Dominick Pardo, Christine Pardo-Ketchen (Bill)and Suzanne M. Shoup (Raymond); dear brother of Michael Par-do (Sue) and Ritamarie Fieo (George R.); loving Pop of Joseph, Michelle and Brandon. JOHN T. SCAlES JACK John T. Jack Scales, 72, a longtime resident of Westwood, died Wednesday, November 18, 2009, at the Caritas Norwood Hospital in Nor-wood after a period of failing health. He was the husband of Susan W. (Wallace) Scales. Born in Brookline, he was raised in Mil-ton and was a graduate of Milton Schools. Mr. Scales was also a graduate of the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. Together with his two brothers, he was the owner of the R.H. Scales Company in West-wood for over 30 years. He was a longtime Bos-ton sports who enjoyed his work and spending time with his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Sandra L. Hayes and her husband Patrick of Hanover, John Scales Jr. of VT, David A. Scales and his wife Jennifer of Walpole, Daniel J. Scales of CA and the late Kathleen A. Scales. He was the brother of Elizabeth Bette Stowers and her husband Joseph of Pocasset, Robert H. Scales Jr. and his wife Lilly of Arlington and Richard L. Scales and his wife Kathy of Westwood. He was the grandfather of Patrick, Lindsay and Mackenzie Hayes and Cameron, Sydney and Elyse Scales. Mr. Scales is also survived by 16 nieces and nephews. 6. The columns from guest writers will offer real solutions and ideas to help us run our businesses and maximize our profitability. 8. CVSN with Datalliance will continue to work to help distributors utilize technology to become more efficient in their businesses. So you can see that we are busy and working for you. But we need more help. The rate that these new initiatives will come into reality will depend on the support we can get from the membership both on the distributor and sup-plier level.
