Ratcliff and Carl Ragland, who drove their Taylor Transport-owned 379s all the way from Cartersville, Georgia, to be in the second of five Pride & Polish events scheduled around the country this year. But it was the looks and lights of Connecticut's Todd and Beth Roccapriore's Chopped '93, a purple/ black Peterbilt 379 extended hood with a sparkling, raised '09 Mac dump trailer, and the brown/tan '07 Peterbilt 379/'07 CPS end dump combo, King Ranch, shown by Brad Johnson and Jake Lindamood,
that beckoned the most attention from all corners of 75 Chrome Shop's 130-space parking area. The dump combos glistened from bumper to swing gate and offered spectators the opportunity to see how stunning both working and limited-mileage combos look when no attention to detail or detailing is overlooked. Todd Roccapriore's dump combo, used regularly to haul contaminated debris for his wife Beth's company,
Clean Slate Environmental of Hebron, Connecticut, cleaned house in multiple judging categories, hauling away Best of Show Working Combo; Working Combo 1991-2000; Interior Cab Only; Mobile Delvac Working Class Engine; Combo Custom Paint & Graphics or Murals; and Combo Lights classes. When asked about what it took to get a working combo as spotless as the two-tone award winner, Todd Roccapriore said, "A lot of sweat. Denis Chupron and I have about 170 manhours cleaning and detailing it since we arrived four days before the show opened. Winning here is all about paying attention to every detail." Jake Lindamood, vice president of Lindamood Demolition, of Irving, Texas, has a similar philosophy. He and Brad Johnson spent dozens of hours detailing King Ranch a dump combo used to carry debris around the Dallas area. Their reward for their attention to detail and for the
