Pre-employment assessments for technicians The AED Foundation has developed and offers via AED University an online pre-employment test to assist with the technician hiring process. The test utilizes 90 questions selected by member dealers to assess a candidate's level of knowledge in Basic Mechanical, Mobile Hydraulics and Mobile Electric prior to employment. Item no . 1601 (A savings of $29.95) safety and technical education aeM safety and technical Materials The AED Foundation has partnered with The Association of Equipment Manufacturers (AEM) to offer their extensive line of safety and technical products to AED members via AED's websites. Product lines include manuals, videos, training packages, bulletins, technical standards, and selected free safety training materials. These products can help you stay in conformance with federal and state laws, ensure a safe work environment, and better manage your business risk.  Safety manuals are concise, with diagrams, signs and charts to illustrate job site and equipment hazards, as well as safe practices in equipment preparation, operation, maintenance, and transport. Manuals are available for many types of construc-tion equipment; from crawlers to wheel loaders to cranes to portable compressors. Some are available in Spanish.  Safety videos include step-by-step demonstrations of safety procedures and are available for directional drilling equipment, graders, portable compressors, pumps, roller compactors, and skid-steer loaders. There is also a video on repair technician safe practices.  Other technical materials on construction related topics are also available: handbooks, guidebooks, standards, decals, vibrating screens, saw safety, and more.
